Use ADD ATTRIBUTES on the Attributes tab and ADD CHARACTERISTIC GROUPS on the Characteristics tab of a product record. You attach characteristics to a product as characteristic groups, and each group is a container for one or more characteristics.
Before you begin
Make sure the attributes you want to attach already exist.
Create the characteristic groups you need before you attach them.
Steps
Open Catalog > Products.
In the products list, select the product you want to edit.
Add an attribute
Select the Attributes tab. A product with no attributes shows the message "No Product attributes found".
Select ADD ATTRIBUTES. A form opens with the Attribute group and Attribute fields.
Optional: In Attribute group, select a value.
In Attribute, select the attribute to attach. This field is required.
Select Save. On the empty form, Save is unavailable.
Add a characteristic group
Select the Characteristics tab. A product with no characteristic groups shows the message "No Product characteristic groups found".
Select ADD CHARACTERISTIC GROUPS. A dialog opens.
In the Characteristic Groups Name en field, enter the name of the characteristic group you want to attach.
Select Save. On the empty form, Save is unavailable.
Result
The attached attributes appear in the Attributes section of the product. The attached characteristic groups appear in the Characteristic Groups section of the product.
