Use a product record's Attributes and Characteristics tabs to attach existing attributes and characteristic groups.
Before you begin
Ensure that the attributes you need already exist before attaching them to a product.
If you need to create an attribute, follow Create an attribute.
Create the characteristic groups you need before attaching them to a product.
Steps
In the navigation, expand Catalog and select Products.
Select the product you want to edit.
On the product record, select the Attributes tab.
On the Attributes tab, select ADD ATTRIBUTES. The add-attributes form opens.
In the add-attributes form, choose the attributes to attach from the selector.
Select Save after choosing the attributes.
On the product record, select the Characteristics tab.
On the Characteristics tab, select ADD CHARACTERISTIC GROUPS. The characteristic-groups form opens.
In the characteristic-groups form, choose the characteristic groups to attach from the selector.
Select Save after choosing the characteristic groups.
Optional: On the Characteristics tab, select Reorder to change the display order of the attached groups.
Result
The attached attributes appear in the product's Attributes section. The attached characteristic groups appear in the product's Characteristic Groups section.
If something goes wrong
If no attributes have been added yet, the Attributes section shows “No Product attributes found.”.
If no characteristic groups have been added yet, the Characteristic Groups section shows “No Product characteristic groups found.”.
