Use the attribute creation task to provide an attribute name, optional synchronization details, translation text, and display settings.

Before you begin

  • On the empty create form, Name is required and Save is unavailable.

Steps

  1. In the navigation, expand Catalog and select Attributes.

  2. On the Attributes screen, select Create.

  3. In the create form, enter a value in Name.

  4. In the create form, enter a value in Sync key.

  5. In Translations, use the text field next to en. Enter the display name for the active language in that text field.

  6. Optionally enable Show on product page. Enable this setting to display the attribute on product pages.

  7. Optionally enable Show on filter. Enable this setting to display the attribute as a filter option.

  8. Optionally enable Use as brand. Enable this setting to tie the attribute to the Brands feature.

  9. After you complete the required fields, Save becomes available. Select Save.

Result

The attribute appears in the Attributes list.
