Create a service layer query

A service layer query defines a SQL statement, its parameters, and the client connection it runs against.

Use the Service layer queries create form to enter query details, choose a client connection, configure JSON decoding, and add parameters.

Steps

  1. On the Service layer queries screen, select Create.

  2. In the create form, complete Name and Description.

  3. In Client connection, select a client connection value.

  4. Set the Decode json checkbox as needed.

  5. Optional: Select + Add parameter. The add-parameter form opens with Parameter Name and Value controls. Complete the Parameter Name and Value controls.

  6. Complete the fields needed for Save to become available. Select Save.

Form state

On the initial create form, Save and + Add value are disabled. In the add-parameter form, Save is enabled and + Add value is disabled.
