Create a data mapping to connect an ERP model to a platform API model through a query, so the storefront can read the client's ERP data.

Create Data Mapping form with fields for the mapping name, API model, basic query, and user query.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to ERP Manager for the client you are configuring.

  • Make sure the query that supplies the source data already exists. Select this query while creating the mapping.

Steps

  1. In the ERP Manager navigation, open Data Mappings.

  2. Select Create. The Create Data Mapping form opens.

  3. In Name, type a name. Give the mapping a name that identifies it.

  4. Optional: In Api model, choose a value. Choose the platform model that the mapping targets. This choice is optional.

  5. In Basic query, choose a query. Choose the query that supplies the source data.

  6. Optional: In User query, choose a query. Choose a query that refines the data. This choice is optional.

  7. Select Save.

Result

The mapping is saved and appears in the Data Mappings list. Open the mapping to match individual fields under Property Mapping, define transformations under Logic Rules, and check the output under Response Preview and Api Preview.

If something goes wrong

  • If Save stays unavailable, check that Name and Basic query are both set. On the empty create form, Save is unavailable. Save stays disabled until the required fields are complete.
