Use the Create Providers form on the Providers screen to enter a provider's Name, Capability, App and Enabled setting. A provider is the record that says which installed application answers a given capability at your client. An automation's message step can call a provider only after the provider exists and is switched on.
Before you begin
Install the application that will deliver the messages at your client, and enter your own credentials on its configuration screen.
The platform catalog includes SMS, e-mail and webhook delivery capabilities, and each one names the applications that may answer it.
Steps
In the navigation, select Providers.
On the Providers screen, select CREATE. The Create Providers form opens.
In Name, enter a name for the provider.
In Capability, select the capability that the provider answers.
In App, select the application that delivers the messages. App is unavailable until you select a capability, and it shows the hint Pick a capability first. The list offers only the applications that the selected capability permits.
Optional: Set Enabled on or off as needed. Providers that are switched on are the ones an automation's Add a step list offers.
Select Save. Name, Capability and App are required. On the empty form, Save is unavailable. Save becomes available after you change the field values.
If something goes wrong
If the capability you need is not offered, refresh the capability list. On the Providers screen, select Refresh capabilities. The capability list updates on its own once an hour, and refreshing it yourself brings in newly published capabilities straight away.
A provider can be created only for an application that the chosen capability permits, and any other application is refused. If creation is refused, pick an application that provides the capability you chose. Change App or Capability and save again.
A capability that no application implements cannot be given a provider.
